The grandparent’s interview
When he was a teenager his mother was tall with brown curly hair, his father was also tall with red hair and he had two sisters and one brother.
Six people lived in his house.
His father was a factory worker and his mother was a cook. With his parents they lived in Reunion Island in Saint-Paul. When he was a teenager after school he often went to his friends to listen to soccer matches on the radio.
As for the types of mass media available, there were the TV, the radio and record player. The mass media that was in his family was the TV.
The computer worked with windows. The media that was most popular in his family when he was a teenager was the Cinema (black and white movies) and pinball machine was more popular than the internet.
He was watching Zembla, Bleck and Akim. There were cartoons on TV.
In his time the TV cost 350 francs, the radio cost 100 francs and the record player cost 120 francs.
The library was badly equipped. When he was a teenager he spent two hours maximum on his computer.
When he was a teenager the positive aspect of the mass media is that he had the internet and the negative aspect is that technology was not as developed as today. The technology today is much more developed, more successful, faster and more helpful than in the past
My grandparent’s generation preferred to play and to walk with their friends than to remain alone in front of a computer.
